Amazon observation tower
In Cristalino Reserve

The Cristalino Lodge’s 50-meter (164-foot) observation towers offer an incredible perspective of the Amazon’s vibrant treetop ecosystem. Located within the Cristalino Reserve, these steel towers allow visitors to spot a variety of wildlife, from macaws and aracaris to monkeys like the white-whiskered spider monkey.
First built in 2000 with support from Dr. Chip Haven of Stanford University, the towers provide a unique opportunity to experience the Amazon at sunrise and sunset, when the forest comes alive with sounds and sights. The second tower is named after ornithologist Ted Parker, and the trail to it passes a 600-year-old Cariniana tree, a stunning reminder of the forest's ancient beauty.
A visit to these towers offers an unforgettable view of the Amazon’s awe-inspiring canopy.
